TVW Business Meeting

A business meeting was held on January 19 at 7:00 pm at the Sunrise Restaurant in Middleton. Here are the unofficial minutes of that meeting. The next meeting will be on Thursday, March 15, at 7:00 pm at the Sunrise Cafe in Middleton.

Conditioning Clinic

The turnout was good for the "Fitness and Conditioning for the Driving and Riding Horse" clinic at Dave Eames' place in Meridian on January 28.
Tom Noll, a veteran ultramarathon runner and endurance rider, and Cindi Davis, who has worked with endurance and marathon driving horses, gave us some great conditioning tips and a chance to try our hand at checking heart rate and other vital signs. After this, we had one of TVW's incomparable potlucks and a presentation about Tom's ride from Missouri to Virginia City with the XP Riders on the Pony Express trail.

Time to Bombproof!

Spring is almost here, and we have had great interest in our upcoming bombproofing and desentization playdays, which will be held on February 25 and March 24. These events are a great way to prepare for spring and summer fun! You can lead, ride, or ground-drive your equine partner over, around, under, and through a wide variety of obstacles, as well as hang out with llamas, backpackers, sheep, and the interesting assortment of equines which will be participating. Bring a dish to share at noon; the TVW potlucks can't be beat! The playday is from 10-3; cost is $20 per animal for non-members.
